Moel Siabod

Moel Siabod is our ‘local’ mountain and we see it every day from our home. It dominates the landscape in Capel Curig, Snowdonia. Its name in English is roughly translated as "bare hill". And that’s a good description because at the summit there are rock fields strewn around.

At 872 metres (2,861 ft), it is the highest peak in the Moelwynion mountain range. From the top of Siabod on a clear day you can see 13 of the 14 highest peaks in Wales.
